Asian behavior, Bangladesh PV water irrigation project loans 45.44 million US dollars

With this funding, ADB estimates that it will help Bangladesh install at least 2,000 PV pump systems, offsetting 17,261 tons of CO2 emissions per year.

In addition to the PV system, funds will be used to carry out awareness-raising activities, including seminars on the installation and operation of PV pump systems. ADB said it will provide technical and skills training to support women's job opportunities.

The financing plan includes $20 million in loans from the ADB Power System Efficiency Improvement Program and an additional $22.44 million from the Renewable Energy Expansion Program for Low-income Countries under the Strategic Climate Fund. The remaining $3 million comes from output-based aid clean energy funds.
