FAQ
Q
What kinds of insulated cables are there?
A
PVC, XLPE, rubber insulated cable and wires, rubber insulated cotton yarn textile wires, and PVC insulated nylon sheathed wires, etc
Q
What’s mechanical property?
A
It refers to tensile strength, elongation, bendability, elasticity, flexibility, vibration resistance, abrasion resistance and mechanical impact resistance etc.
Q
What about the lead time for mass production?
A
It depends on the order quantity and the season when you place order. As it wills spend time on Sailing, we suggest that you start inquiry two months ahead so the cargo can be shipped in time to your country.
Q
What’s the difference between XLPE insulation and PVC insulation?
A
XLPE is cross linked polyethylene material. PVC is polyvinyl chloride insulation. The main difference between them is that XLPE can be used for both high and low tension applications. Its structure provides great resistance to abrasion, stress, and other wear and tear. PVC insulation cannot withstand as much pressure, meaning it is only suitable for low tension applications.

Other differences: 1. XLPE insulation tends to last longer than PVC insulation; 2. Since XLPE doesn’t contain chloride, it is more environmentally friendly; 3. XLPE insulation can withstand higher temperatures; 4. Cross linked polyethylene features more moisture resistance
Q
When the XLPE Insulated Cables be used?
A
In the following conditions, the XLPE cables will be used:

1.Extreme temperature conditions (high and low);
2.High voltage electrical application;
3. Abrasion and stress;
4. Water and other liquids;
5. Chemicals and other hazardous materials

They can also be used for plumbing, mining, and various electrical applications. Cross linked polyethylene cables can also be found across the chemical industry and within the commercial and residential heating industry. Don’t forget about dentists offices and other medical institutions, grounds keeping at stadiums and other venues, and much more.
Q
What is XLPE Cable and the advantage of XLPE insulation?
A
XLPE is cross linked polyethylene. It is a hydronic tubing manufactured from polyethylene plastic. XLPE features a 3D molecular bond structure and shape memory characteristics.

XLPE insulation performs at both high and low temperatures. Due to its structure, XLPE is extremely resistant to abrasion and other wear and tear. It also boasts resistance to high voltage electricity, chemicals and other hazardous materials. Cross linked polyethylene insulation is also a more affordable option.
