ACSR-Aluminum Stranded Steel Wire
Application
ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) is a commonly used overhead transmission conductor, consisting of multiple strands of aluminum wire twisted in a high-strength steel core outer layer. The aluminum wire provides good conductivity, while the steel core enhances mechanical strength, enabling it to carry large currents and span large spans.
ACSR has the advantages of strong conductivity, high tensile strength, and moderate weight. It is widely used in long-distance transmission lines, mountainous areas, high wind pressure areas, and large-span overhead lines. According to different application requirements, the proportion of steel core can be adjusted to obtain higher strength or better conductivity.
This conductor is suitable for all voltage levels, especially in 110kV, 220kV and higher voltage transmission systems.
