Share:
Recently, Australian renewable energy and storage developer Edify Energy has obtained a power purchase agreement for a portion of the 275MW Darlington Point solar farm in New South Wales.

Edify Energy Announces PPA for Its Solar Farm Under the power purchase agreement, Edif Energy will supply Delta Energy with a certificate of power and large-scale power generation to enable utilities to meet their Australian renewable energy targets while expanding and diversifying their power generation portfolio.

The Darlington Point Solar Farm, located near Griffith, New South Wales, was approved last week and is now in place. The developer is expected to achieve financial settlement and will begin construction shortly thereafter and is expected to be completed in early 2020.

Once the project is completed, the plant is expected to produce 685,000 MWh of electricity per year, and Edify Energy plans to add battery storage facilities at a later stage. The CEO of Edify Energy said, “The PPA is a basic document designed to promote financing for one of the country’s largest solar farms. As traditional and new sources of power work together, focusing on the economy of renewable energy, Not only environmental benefits will accelerate the transformation of the energy sector."
